Sacrifice for Glory

ARTIST STATEMENT

Sacrifice for Glory is a Community Arts project working with indigenous tribes engaged through artistic acts of story telling, dialogue and cultural exchange demonstrated in a fictitious photographic narrative of tribal feuding, warrior culture, sacrifice and honour.

The process provides the vehicle for collaboration, initiating communication and interaction referencing people, tribes, lost traditions and multiple art forms. Ambiguously articulated, the experience transferred is not quantifiable in measurable terms but is about stimulating memory and provoking discussion.
